Upcoming Webinars to Clarify New Tax Law

taxAre you still confused about the new tax law? Then take advantage of two upcoming opportunities to hear directly from the IRS about the changes made to the business tax code.

As part of an ongoing campaign to educate industry professionals and their tax practitioners about the new tax law, the IRS will hold two webinars focused on employers, small businesses and pass-through entities.

The first business-focused webinar, Tax Reform Basics for Employers, will be held Thursday, Oct. 25 from 2-3 p.m. ET. Among the topics covered:

  • Fringe benefit changes
  • Credit for paid family medical leave
  • Bicycle commuting

The second session, Tax Reform Basics for Small Businesses and Pass-Through Entities, is Thursday, Nov. 1 from 3-4 p.m., and will provide an overview of:

  • Estimated taxes
  • New rules for depreciation
  • Business deductions (such as the 20% pass-through deduction).
